Here are some tips on where to find local bands and music.

Monday’s Rake n’ Scrape band at Eddie’s Edgewater Grill in George Town 336-2050 is a cool staple of Georgetown. Good simple well priced dining room with no frills.

Tuesdays Bahamian night at Grand Isle with Nigel and the Rake & Scrape Band. Also on Tuesdays from 6 to 9, Reggie Smith is on guitar, his cousin Phil on keyboard, & usually Ken Nixon on sax at Exuma Beach Resort 336-3100. They are very good.

Wednesdays & Saturdays Catch a Fire until 11.

Thursdays Peace ‘n Plenty until 10 336-2551 and a DJ/Happy Hour at Shoreline Beach Club in Rolleville from 7 – 11 Tel: 345 6201 or 225 2327

Friday is always fun at Exuma Beach Club with a DJ & a mix of music.

Sundays Coral Lounge and Bistro at February Point just south of George Town also has live music by Reggie & Phil from 6 – 9 336-2400

Sundays Exuma Beach Club sometimes has a nice band playing “old school music”, usually early from 6 to 9, but call to confirm before you go.

Weekends The Fish Fry just north of George Town usually has late night music on weekends at various shacks.
